gluten free, dairy free, naturally sweetened
4 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 cup melted coconut oil
1/2 maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
DRY In a large mixing bowl add all your dry ingredients
WET Add in your wet ingredients and mix well
SPREAD Put parchment paper onto your cookie sheet and spread the granola mix across. Use a large spoon or spatula to spread evenly and press down.
BAKE Put in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes.
COOL When you take it out of the oven, the granola will continue to crisp as it cools. Let it cool completely before breaking up the granola. You can break it down as much or as little as preferred for texture. Enjoy!
OATS Make sure to use gluten-free oats. I buy the One Degree Organic Sprouted Rolled Oats. I use them frequently so buying in bulk at Costco is the most cost effective for me.
MAPLE SYRUP Look for 100% pure maple syrup. This will be classified as Grade A Maple Syrup. After that it is up to preference. All Grade A syrup is equal in quality but they have different flavor profiles. This is why you will sometimes see a clarifying adjective afterwards like golden, Amber, Dark, or Very Dark.
