Hi! My name is Annie. I’m a six-foot tall, frizzy-haired redhead, with a passion for good food. It has always been a constant, simple pleasure in my life. It brings people together, it’s creative, and above all, a good meal makes everything alright at the end of the day.

A few years ago, the words “autoimmune disease” caused me to reflect on the quality of life I wanted to pursue. Life dealt me lemons. At the time, It felt like a very sour and lonely experience. Though changes were made in the way I eat, I refused to settle when it came to flavor and simple, natural, ingredients. Thus, the journey and vision that led to this blog began. It’s just a girl, in her kitchen, learning to fall in love with food again.

My goal is to create a place for recipes and resources for myself and my family. I don’t know what your story is and why it brought you here, but I hope it can be a resource for you as well. I’ve learned I’m not alone. Thank goodness!! I have been so grateful for all the people that have supported and helped me in this journey by sharing recipes and showing me new ways to look at food.
